PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP with JOJIE ALCANTARA

Many people have already asked me if I am also into photography because my “elder” sister whose name is Jojie Alcantara, is an expert on it.  She does well in it and have been invited to several workshops to share her knowledge.

Believe me, I tried to learn and at least be like her, but sad to say, it didn’t work for me.  Well, being her sister, I learned few techniques that she’s been reminding over and over again.

I did not get offended whenever she teaches me the proper way to take good pictures because I know she has good intentions and I can make good use out of it during events.  At least, I learned few interesting techniques that she has been reminding me over and over again.

Who would believe that this energetic, bubbly and super talented woman happens to be my sister ( who looked younger than me!)?  Yes, she is.  We have different personalities and I am almost the opposite.

I am proud of what she is doing and I love her chosen career right now.  That’s why when she asked me if I could accompany and assist her to a photography workshop that Ateneo Marketing students conducted at the Media Presentation Rooms 1 & 2 , Ateneo de Davao University, I gladly said yes! Why not? It is an opportunity to learn again and meet these young and energetic people.

I have always thought it’s fun watching her teach these graduating students and inspire them with the beauty of getting into photography.  I truly admire their thing for photography.  At a young age, they really know what they are doing and what they want to achieve in the future.

This one day workshop with my sister, Jojie Alcantara, seemed to be the best day spent by the graduating students on a Saturday.  They had activities and games in the afternoon and a lot of prizes /giveaways were given to almost all the participants.
