The Lego had come up with another exciting event held at the activity center of Abreeza Mall last December 2, 2017. This was the first ever inter-store competition called “BRICK OFF”.
The event was hosted by DJ Kevin of Magic 89.1. There were kids who were able to join the exciting games. All they had to do was to build their own version of an airplane and a donut with a time limit of five minutes. This is the Build Me game.
Another game was the Monthly Mini Build (MMB) wherein they will have a Lego set to build and can take it home as a souvenir.
What is this game all about? It is a monthly hand-on building activity for kids ages 4-14 years old held at LEGO Certified Stores Nationwide.
The schedule for the Monthly Mini Build (MMB) is every Tuesdays from 5PM-8PM and Sundays from 11AM-2PM of the 2nd and 4th week of the month.
When you enter the activity area, you will automatically set your eyes on the life-sized lego 3D Models created magnificently. These were the Air Asia plane and the Krispy Kreme. Kids and parents excitedly took turns in taking their selfie with these 3D Models while enjoying the rest of the program.
As official airline partner for the event, Air Asia gave a special prize to one lucky winner who can have a free domestic flight provided they have to take a selfie beside it and post it on social media with the hashtag #AirAsiainDavao
On the otherhand, Krispy Kreme gave away their delicious donuts to the lucky kids who answered their trivia questions correctly.
The best part of the Brick Off competition was when we were asked to join the contest for bloggers. It was fun but tough to play the charade-inspired guessing game. But it all ended well as we received the Lego premium items after the competition.
The Brick Off competition comprised of the three teams namely: TEAM TADLASSES, TEAM SANTOS-RIVERA AND TEAM PETMALODI. They all competed for the championship title. Eventually, the team PETMALODI won and luckily got to take home a lego-built trophy plus Lego items worth P30,000 and prizes from Krispy Kreme as well. They were the very first LEGO Brick Off Champion.
Lego will always remain steadfast in the industry. It helped a lot in enhancing a child’s creative mind. As a mother of a nine year old child, I support my daughter’s love for Lego toys as it can develop her building skills and patience to create anything from out of it. I like watching her do it as her hands and fingers twist and turn. She will always be a Lego fan. It makes her cry out in joy whenever she will have new Lego toys.
Today, Lego stands among the Top 5 toy manufacturers in the world. It did not stop from there because consumers are growing. In return, Lego continues to offer to all people of all ages a means to build their own worlds.
